Tier 1 Internet peering is available at both sites and links to Telehouse ensure a wide choice of carriers for interconnection. Managed Networks
Requirements being placed on enterprise networks are increasing all the time; convergence, quality of service and secure transactions often leave companies struggling to keep up. We can manage the outsourcing process for clients and maintain and support the network once installed, or provide the entire network on a fixed cost basis. This way you can focus on your business knowing that the network can support anything the business throws at it.
Managed Storage
Bitech Systems provides two main types of managed storage: on-site storage provided on a per gigabyte basis and off-site storage for backup and archiving. With on-site storage we provide the entire storage system, whether Fibre Channel, iSCSI or NAS and charge the customer per gigabyte used. This way you don’t have to worry about the technology or suddenly needing more space; all backed up with 24x7 support if required.
With off-site storage we provide space on the same per-gigabyte basis as with our on-site offering, but with the storage located either at our London datacentre or at our ultra-secure datacentre in Berkshire. Both datacentres have Tier 1 peering to the Internet so data can be delivered over high speed secure VPNs. Alternatively, dedicated links can be provided at up to 10Gbps for block-level access using Fibre Channel or iSCSI.
Power Management
Ever increasing energy prices mean that keeping control of power usage in datacentres and offices is becoming a priority. We offer a unique power survey and monitoring service to help you understand where you could save energy. For datacentre customers who need to charge their clients individually we have a power monitoring solution that collects power usage down to one minute intervals and can deliver the statistics over any IP-enabled infrastructure. This system can monitor power on an individual 13A mains socket or a CEE 16A, PDU socket.
Managed Security
Often a simple firewall rule can mean the difference between a secure network and a wide open one. The threats to a business are always changing and finding good security staff can also be hard. For these reasons we have developed our managed security offerings which run from a single managed firewall to a company-wide 802.1X implementation.
Network security is a sensitive issue and many companies are not ready to outsource such a service. In these circumstances we can offer a ‘build, operate and transfer’ (BOT) model whereby the customer ends up in control of the security apparatus, but only at the end of a period when the in-house IT staff learn alongside Bitech’s experienced consultants.
